Based on two different stories about my paternal great grandfather, Robert Baillie. He was a coachman in Paisley, where my family are from. When William “Buffalo Bill” Cody brought his show to the UK in 1887, some of his horses were stabled at my great grandfather’s place.
Does crap get self-published? Of course. But take a look at the shelves of commercial mainstream fiction. How much of that is garbage? This isn’t even a remotely valid rebuff to self-publishers any more. It’s straight up bullshit. If your work is good, has value, it will find its audience.
So I am going to be self-publishing my short novella, The Gift Garden in February 2017. There are many reasons why I’m doing this, but I don’t want to go into all that right now (I more than likely will in a future post).
